Author, Julie Kamins, participated in the Passport to Reading event on April 5, 2008 at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA. Kamins was one of over 100 authors and illustrators to share their work with the children at Taft.
At the event, Julie Kamins presented and read passages of Why Am I at the Red Table? to groups of children that were in attendance that day. As part of her presentation she taught children that believing in your own abilities and working at your own pace will help you succeed in learning.
